How does the security deposit work?
The deposit condition is separate from rental payments and damage claims.
YourCamper payments use Stripe
Renters pay on Stripe Checkout. Owners connect a Stripe Connect account for payouts.
Payments are active and use real money.
Read the payment guide →The owner’s deposit is shown separately in the listing breakdown and booking. €0 means no deposit is required. It is not owner rental income and carries no service fee.
YourCamper currently saves only the deposit condition: the Stripe rental charge neither collects this amount nor places a card hold. Automatic withholding, charging and release are not implemented. Do not assume your rental payment includes the deposit.
If the listing requires a deposit, clarify the arrangement with the owner or administrator before pickup. Recording damage in a report does not create an automatic deduction.
