Optional analytics
yc_analytics_visitor is a random signed browser identifier lasting up to 30 days. It is HttpOnly and is created only after allowing analytics. yc_cookie_choice stores separate analytics and preference choices for up to 180 days. Analytics includes page views, active viewing time and an account link while signed in. Withdrawing consent removes the analytics cookie and viewing history for that identifier. Analytics does not start when Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled.
Necessary cookies and device storage
These operations support requested sign-in, safe invitation handling and booking. Rejecting optional preferences does not disable them. Browsers may add a secure HTTPS prefix to cookie names.
better-auth.session_token: keeps you signed in for up to 7 days; active session renewal can renew expiry. Temporary Better Auth state/oauth_state cookies protect sign-in, usually for 5–10 minutes. Not every technical auth cookie is set on every visit.
yourcamper-owner-invitation, yourcamper-rental-invitation and yc_prepared_join: invitation continuation after sign-in, up to 1 hour. yc_cookie_choice: choice version, preference and time, up to 180 days; it contains no account identifier.
booking-extras:* in browser sessionStorage: selected extra identifiers and quantities, retained through sign-in. Entries are used for up to 12 hours and removed after a successful request; sessionStorage normally ends when the tab closes. Prices and permissions are checked again on the server.
Cloudflare may use security cookies such as __cf_bm (typically up to 30 minutes) or cf_clearance when a security challenge requires it. Their use depends on the actual Cloudflare configuration and is not permission for advertising or analytics.
Optional remembering
yc_vehicle_<user identifier> remembers an owner’s last selected vehicle for up to 180 days. It is written and used only after you permit preference storage. Without it, you can still select and manage all vehicles.
This choice is off by default. Necessary only also removes existing vehicle-preference cookies. Change your choice at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of the page. Analytics has a separate optional choice. We do not use advertising cookies.
Google sign-in, Stripe Checkout and a map opened at your request can use their own service technologies. Their privacy information applies to their own pages and operations; YourCamper’s choice is not blanket marketing consent to them.
