What are the cancellation and refund terms?
Standard, flexible and strict policies, with an exact calculation.
YourCamper payments use Stripe
Renters pay on Stripe Checkout. Owners connect a Stripe Connect account for payouts.
Payments are active and use real money.
Read the payment guide →The owner’s selected terms appear before payment and in your booking details. Saved booking terms and prices are not changed by later owner pricing edits. New paid cancellation terms are not retroactively added to older bookings.
- STANDARD: more than 60 days before pickup 0%; exactly 60 through exactly 30 days 25%; less than 30 days 100%.
- FLEXIBLE: more than 60 days 0%; exactly 60 through exactly 7 days 25%; less than 7 days 100%.
- STRICT: at least 30 days before pickup 25%; less than 30 days 100%.
- Cutoffs use the original local pickup time and the country’s time zone. The precise deadline appears in your booking; if no time was set, noon is used.
Choose Preview cancellation in your booking. Before confirming, you see the exact fee, refund and any outstanding obligation. New early reservations can be cancelled free before the first payment. After payment, the saved cancellation policy applies. Existing bookings retain their original terms.
The refund is the positive difference between money actually paid and the cancellation fee. If you paid less than the fee, an outstanding obligation may remain. The deposit is excluded, and Stripe processing costs are not added as hidden customer charges.
If the owner cancels, all rental payments actually collected, including the service fee, are refunded and future installments cancelled. Refunds go to the original payment method. Starting a refund does not mean immediate bank arrival; check the actual booking status and contact the administrator if there is a problem.
